NILES, Ill., Oct. 6, 2026 — Shure today announced a new update for its Axient® Digital Wireless System, introducing Channel Linking and Preferred Access Point, two new capabilities designed to help audio professionals build more resilient wireless systems, simplify deployment, and maintain reliable performance across complex production environments.

From major live events and broadcast productions to large-scale venues and distributed installations, audio teams are increasingly tasked with managing wireless systems across broader coverage areas while maintaining seamless operation. The latest Axient Digital update addresses this challenge by simplifying receiver management and giving users greater control over how supported transmitters connect to ShowLink access points in complex wireless deployments.

"Leading the industry means taking inspiration from users and putting more control in their hands. Through constant development of the Axient Digital platform, we continue to deliver new capabilities, greater flexibility, and long-term value for customers who rely on Axient Digital every day,” said Nick Wood, Associate Vice President of Marketing and Product Management.

Simplified Deployment and Management Across Large Coverage Areas with Channel Linking

Channel Linking enables users to build even more resilient wireless systems by linking receiver channels across compatible Axient Digital receivers, including AD4Q, AD4D, ADX5D, and the ANX4 scalable receiver operating in Axient Digital mode. Once linked, secondary channels automatically inherit key settings from primary channels, including frequency, transmitter registration, encryption information, and channel naming.

By reducing repetitive configuration tasks, Channel Linking streamlines deployment and system maintenance across distributed and redundant receiver networks. This capability is particularly valuable for applications that span large coverage areas, including parade routes, stadiums, arenas, convention centers, and productions requiring flexible receiver placement.

Greater ShowLink® Control in Complex Wireless Deployments with Preferred Access Point

Preferred Access Point gives Axient Digital users more control over ShowLink operation in complex wireless environments. In systems with multiple AD610 access points, users can direct supported Axient Digital transmitters to a preferred access point, making ShowLink control more predictable for large venues, distributed antenna deployments, and productions that need greater control over wireless system behavior.

Availability

Channel Linking and Preferred Access Point are available now in Axient Digital version 1.6, downloadable via the Shure Update Utility desktop application.
