Is SLX-D+ backwards compatible? Yes, firmware updates will allow SLX-D and SLX-D+ to be compatible. However, the ShowLink® Ease and DSP updates will not be available when using SLX-D receivers and transmitters.  

Does the audio quality remain identical between SLX-D and SLX-D+? The audio quality between SLX-D and SLX-D+ is identical.  

What is the general latency of SLX-D+? 2.8 milliseconds. This is an improvement over SLX-D which is 3.2 milliseconds.  

Will SLX-D+ be compatible with Wireless Workbench and Shure Update Utility? Yes, SLX-D+ will be compatible with Wireless Workbench and Wireless Workbench Mobile. ShowLink® Ease features can be controlled from Wireless Workbench applications. You can update firmware using Shure Update Utility as well.  

Will there be a clear explanation of how to use SLX-D+ wideband with the legacy SLX-D and which bands will be working together? Yes, there will be detailed information in the SLX-D+ User Guide. Also, due to the ease of use with backwards compatibility, users will be guided by menu on the receiver to change the bands via IR Sync with legacy transmitters (similar to SLXD4Q+ now).
