Introducing ShowLink® Ease for SLX-D+

SLX-D+ features ShowLink® Ease, a dedicated control link between receivers and transmitters that enables remote management and powerful automated features. Once paired, it provides real-time two-way communication between SLX-D+ receiver and transmitter pairs.

ShowLink® Ease differs from traditional ShowLink® by using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) instead of Wi-Fi for its control link. SLX-D+ can be networked to a router, but its remote control capabilities with ShowLink Ease remain within BLE’s range and requirements, providing a practical solution without the complexity needed for large-scale productions.

How ShowLink® Ease Improves SLX-D+ Wireless Control:

• Transmitter Control: Adjust transmitter parameters remotely from the linked receiver, including frequency changes, gain adjustments, and transmitter locking.
• Automated RF Setup: Configure your systems and setup with minimal manual steps. Once linked, SLX-D+ receivers and transmitters stay connected, even during RF interference. By automating these processes, the need to manually handle transmitters is eliminated, significantly reducing the likelihood of errors during RF setup.

What's the physical range of the ShowLink® Ease control link? 100ft/30m within line of sight of the receiver. This can vary depending on the environment. If ShowLink® Ease goes out of range, once it is back in range it will reconnect, and remote functionality will be capable.  

How long will it take to change RF frequencies in auto mode when interference is detected? 2-5 seconds usually, depending on bandwidth scanning. The system will recognize interference, channel scan, and deploy frequency in that time frame.  

Will the SLXD4Q+ and SLXD4QDAN+ have new ShowLink® Ease and DSP features via firmware updates? Yes, SLXD4Q+ will have all the ShowLink® Ease and DSP features via a firmware update.
