Shure audio technology enables work according to the "New Work" concept at the headquarters of Sparkasse Bremen
Customer Profile
In November 2020, Sparkasse (SPK) Bremen opened its headquarters in a modern new building in the Technology Park of the University of Bremen. The company is thus focusing strongly on the digital working model of the future. As the market leader in universal banking and with around 1,100 employees, SPK Bremen is one of the largest savings banks in Germany, with just under 400 establishments.
Challenge
An agile corporate and working culture was to be facilitated on the five floors for the 600 employees at the headquarters. Hence, a "New Work" concept was designed for the premises, which is particularly interdisciplinary and interactive.
The Sparkasse Bremen also wanted a combination of different room types in which concentrated work, creative team exchange, productive meetings and hybrid presentations can take place.
The Munich-based company congena developed the appropriate concept together with the Sparkasse and the planners from macom and subsequently commissioned Mediasystem GmbH with the implementation. In the field of audio technology, solutions by Shure were used.
Solution
The flexible event area on the ground floor of the new building can either be used as a large presentation hall or divided into individual rooms with partition walls. Together with various displays from INFiLED, Fohhn loudspeakers, mobile media furniture from Holzmedia as well as a Biamp signal processor for signal transmission, nothing stands in the way of a successful conference.
Thanks to bodypack and handheld transmitters from Shure's ULX-D series, high-quality sound transmission is assured at all times. The combination of mobile TwinPlex headsets including ULXD1 bodypack transmitters and ULXD2 digital handheld transmitters with SM58 microphone cartridge allows the speakers maximum freedom. The additional MX410 gooseneck microphones, together with the associated ULXD8 transmitters, ensure that even the staff members in the field can be heard.
Shure audio technology is also used in the "New Work" areas: for example, in the "Creative Area", primarily intended for collaboration between employees on site and from the home office, it is possible to move freely in the room thanks to the MXA910 ceiling array microphone and still be heard by all meeting participants.
The so-called S-Lounge is used for the particularly creative exchange and gathering of ideas by individual teams. To this end, a conference system consisting of a display, a media rack and a Crestron media control with touch panel is used. Bose speakers and Shure ULXD2 digital handheld transmitters with SM87 microphone cartridge ensure flawless communication.
In the multifunctional conference area on the building's fourth floor, two Shure MXA910 ceiling array microphones were chosen to provide excellent speech transmission on a permanent basis. However, if required, speakers in individual conference rooms can still be equipped with TwinPlex headsets or ULXD2/SM58 handheld transmitters.
Advantages
The optimal "New Work" solution was found for every application. Depending on the purposes the room was to fulfil, exactly the right technology was selected. As all components of the manufacturers can be combined seamlessly, the systems are particularly user-friendly. Both the permanently installed ceiling array microphones and the flexible handheld and bodypack transmitters of the ULX-D series impress for their outstanding speech quality.
In addition, the conference technology can be adapted to new situations at any time thanks to the mobile elements and is therefore perfectly suited for the digital working world of the future. SPK Bremen can thus offer its employees an agile corporate and working culture and at the same time provide all visitors with high-quality, well-equipped premises at its new headquarters.
