<h2>What are the characteristics of the Beta 98AMP/C?</h2>

<p>The Beta 98AMP/C provides a smooth and natural sound, and features an integrated XLR preamplifier with a flexible gooseneck.</p>

<h2>What is the difference between the Beta 98AMP/C and the other versions of the Beta 98?</h2>

<p>The Beta 98AMP/C is a cardioid condenser instrument microphone and comes complete with an integrated preamplifier and the A75M universal drum mount. None of the other versions of the Beta 98 contain an integrated preamplifier. The Beta 98AMP/C has a wider dynamic range with a SPL level 7dB higher than Beta 98AD/C and the Beta 98A/C. The Beta 98AD/C is for the same applications and instead contains an A98D drum mount which features a flexible gooseneck. The Beta 98S & Beta 98D/S will continue to be available and have a supercardioid polar pattern. </p>

<p>Please note - any Beta drum microphone featuring the letter 'A' following the model number contains a new capsule and as a result you can expect a more natural high frequency response.</p>

<p>Allows attachment and positioning of Shure model Beta 98 and SM98A to the side of a drum. The gooseneck-adapter allows for optimum microphone placement, and can be inserted into the horizontal or vertical slots of the clamp for positioning flexibility.</p>

Beta 98D/S

<h2>What is the Beta 98D/S best suited to?</h2>

<p>It&rsquo;s a premium instrument microphone which is ideal for use with a snare, toms and conga drums, in both stage and studio applications.</p>

<h2>Does it include a drum mount?</h2>

<p>Yes. The included A98D drum mount lets you quickly secure the mic to a drum rim without the need for a drum key. Its flexible gooseneck lets you position the mic in practically any configuration, so you get a virtually unlimited choice of sound options.</p>

<h2>What are the Charactaristics of the Beta 98D/S?</h2>

<p>It has a tailored frequency response of 20Hz &ndash; 20KHz and a high maximum sound pressure level (SPL) of 125dB. It has a supercardioid pickup pattern providing high gain before feedback. A seperate in-line preamplifier is included as well as a 25ft detatchable cable to go between the pre-amp and the mic.</p>
