Topic: Meeting Audio System Requirements for National and Local Government [IS042]

Time: 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Date: Wednesday, June 12th

Presenter: Chris Merrick

The implementation of audio technology for local and national government organizations presents distinct challenges. There may be beyond-the-norm requirements for security, privacy, formal meeting management, audit of events and decisions/votes and translation. In addition, these projects often take place in historic or architecturally significant environments with challenging legacy acoustics and a wide range of meeting spaces. In this session, we will explore some of these considerations and how clients and the AV channel can address them. Attendees will learn:

  • The distinct organizational challenges of audio technology in national and local government environments, and what makes them different to other sectors
  • The user needs, environmental characteristics and technical requirements that necessitate a specialized approach in government audio implementations
  • How to address these challenges and how to best specify the right solutions for you or your clients' environments

This session is open to all seminar and workshop package holders, and will be seated on a first-come, first -served basis.
