What Is The MXA320?

Introducing the MXA320, the next evolution of Shure’s table array microphone that provides high quality audio capture and flexible configuration for AV conferencing environments including boardrooms, huddle rooms and conferencing spaces. We spoke with Peter Herr, Director of Global Marketing for Conferencing Products, to find out more about the table microphone.
ISE: Hi! I’ve been hearing about this new product—the MXA320. What exactly is it, and who’s it for?
Peter Herr: Great question! The MXA320 is Shure’s newest table array microphone—engineered for crystal-clear audio capture and remarkable flexibility in any meeting room. It’s designed for high-quality audio capture and flexible configuration in AV conferencing environments—including boardrooms huddle rooms, and multi-purpose spaces. You can use it as a single microphone or in multiples for larger, more complex AV installations.
Sounds impressive. But what makes the MXA320 different from the MXA310? Aren’t they similar?
They do share the same low-profile design, but the MXA320 really builds on the strengths of the MXA310 Steerable Coverage™ technology. The big upgrade? Onboard IntelliMix® DSP with Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC), Speech Gating Threshold, Automatic Gain Control and Noise Reduction—so you get crystal-clear audio in any space. We believe these powerful features, packed in a compact form factor, will “turn the table” on traditional conferencing audio. The MXA320 also features new visual configuration in Designer System Configuration Software, and remote device management, monitoring, and firmware updates with ShureCloud.
Definitely. Now, what about compatibility? Which conferencing platforms can I use the MXA320 with? And how do you ensure audio security?
The MXA320 is certified for use with Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms, and it’s compatible with other popular collaboration tools too! Plus, Shure Audio Encryption keeps meeting content secure between the MXA320 and other Microflex Ecosystem devices. With 802.1x audio encryption, you can ensure privacy and security in your meetings
Nice! Can the MXA320 be deployed or managed remotely?
Yes! The MXA320 is configured visually with Designer System Configuration Software, making it easy to set up and adjust coverage while swapping between polar pattern presets. For remote device management, real-time monitoring, and firmware updates, ShureCloud provides an intuitive platform to keep your devices up to date and performing at their best.
That’s convenient. Where can I learn more about ShureCloud?

Last question—what hardware do I need to connect the MXA320 for it to work?
Great question! The MXA320 onboard IntelliMix® DSP means less external hardware is required for a typical install. For a single microphone configuration, simply connect the MXA320 to an ANIUSB Audio Interface, then connect both devices to a network switch to get started. For room configurations with multiple MXA320 microphones, connect all devices to an IntelliMix® P300 Audio Conferencing Processor, then connect each device to a network switch. And that’s it—you’re ready to go!
Thank you for answering my questions! I’m looking forward to seeing the MXA320 Table Array Microphone in action!
