New Study with IT professionals shows lack of appropriate AV technology for virtual meetings

A recent survey of 401 business IT professionals and users representing more than 8,000 conference rooms, provided some surprising numbers about the future of conferencing. One of the most eye-opening findings was that only 21 percent of boardrooms are set up with the appropriate AV technology to conduct virtual meetings. And only 36 percent of conference rooms overall have the right technology to support them. The findings paint a picture of the importance of technology in providing effective virtual meetings. This seminar will talk through some of the numbers as well as provide guidance on how to improve conference room experiences. We will share some tips to optimize meeting rooms and provide guidance on the areas to invest in to make the most impact to your users.

A voice lift system amplifies the voices of people in one part of the room just enough so that people in other parts of the room can hear them clearly. Unlike a conventional sound reinforcement system, voice lift bolsters only those frequency ranges that are most critical for intelligibility, and only enough to restore the loss caused by the distance between the farthest talker and listener in the room. The effect is so subtle that many users don’t even realize there is a sound system until it is turned off. However, the implementation of voice lift in an AV conference system or meeting room environment can be complex.
