The Arts Center at NYU Abu Dhabi presents distinguished professional  artists from around the world, student, faculty, and community  productions. As a vibrant laboratory for performance that both presents  and develops work, the Arts Center fosters a dynamic relationship  between the arts, scholarship, and community. Firmly rooted in the  region but with a global reach, embedded in the university while  welcoming Emiratis and the local community, the Arts Center is an  extraordinary new addition to the local and international arts  landscapes. Excellence, collaboration, creativity, accessibility,  innovation, respect and understanding are the core values that govern  the Arts Center at NYU Abu Dhabi.

The Arts Center at NYU Abu  Dhabi has three indoor venues (700-seat Main Hall, 99-400-flexible seat  Black Box Theater, 150-seat Recital Hall) and more than 1000 seats for  the outdoor stage.

Every location is connected via a Dante network, part of the IT  infrastructure of the campus. They needed a high count of wireless  channels in a compact framework to be able to move them thru the  different locations. The RF spectrum in the campus is congested by the  many different devices in use, for this reason the spectrum efficiency  was another very important request from their side.

The Arts Center at NYU Abu Dhabi took delivery of 64 channels of  ULX-D, They organized their systems in different independent mobile  racks and equipped each rack with an AXT 600 spectrum manager and an AXT  900 networked charging dock.

According to Mr. Roger Scheepers - Head of Audio – the performance of  the system exceeded the expectations and most importantly everything is  extremely quick and easy to setup. When the racks are moved in a  location they only have to connect an Ethernet cable and the power to be  ready for the soundcheck.

Thanks to the accurate frequency coordination and monitoring  performed by the AXT 600 spectrum manager, controlled via Wireless  Workbench 6, they didn’t experience any problem with interference or  dropout during the shows.

Mr. Scheepers mentioned the extreme reliability and durability of the  rechargeable solution as an important added value to this solution.  They can operate with an absolute peace of mind because every battery  guarantees over 10 hours of strain without any negative impact on the  environment.
