Bug Fixes

Known Issues

• AD4 receivers indicate “Ready” status for a transmitter firmware update while the transmitter is in Standby mode, but the update will immediately fail.
• IR Sync may fail while loading custom groups to Q5X transmitters
• When operating Wireless Workbench or ShurePlus Channels, some labels and icons for Q5X transmitters may be missing

Notes

• This firmware is compatible with Q5X AquaMic™ and PlayerMic®
• To install Q5X firmware on devices:
  • Download Q5X 1.2.54 firmware from Shure Update Utility (user guide)
  • Connect to the AD4D or AD4Q receiver, and in the Hosted Tx section, select Q5XTx 1.2.54
  • Send the update to the receiver
  • Use IR Sync to update the transmitter firmware
• AD4D and AD4Q can only host one transmitter firmware image at a time; if you also need to update Axient Digital transmitters, please repeat the above process, but select an ADTx firmware version.
• To operate Q5X AquaMic™ and Q5X PlayerMic® version 1.2.54 with other Shure systems and software, see the following list of minimum versions:

Important

• This firmware release can be used to update Microflex Complete (MXC) or DCS 6000 systems using DIS-CCUCentral Unit and to update DC5900F and DC5980P to register and work in an MXC system.
• Systems using CU 5905, CU 6000, CU 6005, CU 6010, CU 6011, CU 6105, or CU 6110 Central Units are not supported in this release.
• The Firmware Update Utility (FUU) included in this release, is required for the update.

New Features

• This is a hotfix – no new features. Refer to release note for Release 9.0.0 for description of new features.

Bug Fixes

• Incorrect Default CCU-database when upgrading a former 5900-system (2000 m cable instead of default 1000m) leading to communication problems using short feeding cables.
• Updating of CCU from 8.6.2 (in 5900-mode) must force 6000-mode LAN configuration

• To set up ULXD6/8 transmitters to receive firmware updates while docked in SBC250/450/850 Networked Charging Stations, follow these steps:
  1. Place transmitters on a charging station and ensure the charging station is connected to the network.
  2. Launch Shure Update Utility to find firmware updates.
  3. Download updates and select Send Updates.

Known Issues

• Users with some Android devices may experience 9 millisecond audio dropouts when recording with the MV88+
• When connected to iPad via a USB-C cable, the MV88+ will pass audio and gain can be adjusted. However, the MOTIV apps will only display ‘external mic’, and the settings screen will not be available. Shure recommends using another device to configure the settings before using with iPad Pro. No adjustments can be made in real time (except gain) on the Shure MOTIV apps when using an iPad Pro.
