Bug Fixes    

• In a network with more than 20 devices at location or 60 on the network, some actions will take longer due to increased network traffic
• Selecting ”forget device” on a cross-subnet MXA910 on firmware version 4.1.41 may result in the device being rediscovered
• If a valid license activation ID is applied and fails on the first attempt, please try again before calling support

Pre-Upgrade Requirements

• This version of Designer requires Windows 10 (Professional or Enterprise), 64-bit edition
• This version of Designer is currently supported on PC only
• Multiple versions of Designer cannot be installed on the same computer
• Designer and SystemOn cannot be installed on the same computer
• Upgrade Path
• Designer versions 3.0 and 3.1 must be upgraded to 3.2 first, before upgrading to this version of Designer. Download Designer 3.2 here.
• If you encounter an Installer failure during upgrade, allow the uninstaller process to finish, then restart installation
• Certain endpoint protection software may block the application, if you encounter this anomaly, whitelist the Designer installer or application

Known Issues

• Error 10 occurs during version 4.5.0 installation. Customer has to find an Administrator of the PC to complete installation, an inconvenience for system integrators when onsite doing setups or service calls.
  • Workaround: Obtain admin access for installation PC
• Channel Rendering in version 4.5.0 – not all IntelliMix Room channels appears on laptop
• When devices are missing from a network the room becomes inaccessible
• Some Text will be displayed in English for French, Arabic, and German
• When one or more devices in a location are locked by Dante Domain Manager or Dante Device Lock, operations that affect Dante settings may be unreliable, such as audio routing, pushing virtual to online devices, or enabling audio encryption
• Changing channel count of Virtual IMX-Room device does not reset audio settings

Pre-Upgrade Requirements

• Internet access is no longer required during the installation process; however, use of certain features like firmware updating and text notifications require internet access
• After upgrading SystemOn, clear your browser cache on the device accessing the SystemOn server, then re-assign your licenses to your devices by navigating to your organization > Licenses > Start managing
• SystemOn and Designer applications cannot be installed on the same computer; do not attempt to install one over the other
• Before updating firmware, turn off “Device Missing” notifications, then turn them back on after completing the firmware updates

Known Issues

• When using a virtual machine, it’s recommended to dedicate hardware resources (HD, RAM, etc.) to the SystemOn application; using shared resources may cause Shure services to not start on reboot
• When a device is being firmware updated, it will appear offline during the update in SystemOn
• ULX-D transmitters using non-Shure batteries will show in the transmitter list with incorrect values for battery cycle count and health
• Discovering MXW microphones may take longer than 1 minute
• UTC time and date are displayed on Event Log and Email/SMS notifications
• For users setting up SMS notifications, the Senders Phone Number field does not show the required (*), but the field is required

New Features and Improvements

• Added the ability to disable USB mute sync communication with software codec platforms.
• Improved gain, audio routing, and EQ contour settings when using the Designer ‘Optimize’ feature with IntelliMix Room and Shure microphones
• Resolved issues where the PC output selection would disappear and stop passing audio after a system sat idle or was rebooted.
• Improved warning notifications within the system tray application related to the network interface card (NIC) used for license verification.
• Enhanced the error and crash reporting capabilities.
• Improved the user experience of uninstalling or resetting IntelliMix Room to its default settings while there is an active license.

Known Issues

• Packet scanning security software may cause audio performance issues with IntelliMix Room.
• In order to transition from a trial license to a paid license before trial expiration, the IntelliMix Room endpoint must be deactivated and reactivated. Otherwise, the entire trial license term will be used before the paid license.
• When renewing a license, IntelliMix Room will use the 90-day grace period of the expired license before activating the new, renewed license. After the grace period ends, the new license will automatically activate and the expiration message in the user interface will disappear.
• In scenarios where many NICs or audio soundcards are connected to the IntelliMix Room host computer, IntelliMix Room may not be discoverable in Designer software. Remove or disable some of the NICs or audio soundcards to enable discovery in Designer software.
• In some scenarios where IntelliMix Room is installed onto a kiosk-type device and the PC output is selected as the Realtek audio output, audio will not pass through IntelliMix Room to the Realtek audio output for up to 5 minutes after PC reboot.
• In some scenarios, especially if rebooting computers via removing the power cable, mute sync between IntelliMix Room and the software codec can stop working. To resolve the issue, disable and re-enable the “HID-compliant headset” found under the “Shure IntelliMix Virtual Audio” USB Input Device within Window’s “Device Manager”.
• Changing the System Name of the host computer after installation of IntelliMix Room also changes the Dante Device name in Dante Controller. The Shure device name stays the same. This does not affect device performance and can be ignored.
• Ensure that the system/device name of the computer running IntelliMix Room is unique and follows Microsoft Window’s recommendation of 15 characters or less. IntelliMix Room relies on this unique name for proper Shure and Dante network operation.
• In some scenarios, the computer running IntelliMix Room must be rebooted after a Zoom Rooms update occurs on the same computer.
• Allowing a system running IntelliMix Room to enter a sleep state can cause issues with IntelliMix Room’s logic and mute sync functionality. A reboot of the computer resolves the issue.
• When canceling an upgrade of IntelliMix Room and performing a “roll back,” the UI confirmation mentions “upgrade success” when it should mention “roll back success.” IntelliMix Room will successfully roll back to the previous version.
• If you update IntelliMix Room on a kiosk-type device using a remote desktop connection, log in to the admin account of the device after the update finishes and the device reboots. This step makes IntelliMix Room available as an audio device on the operating system.

• Shure Update Utility and Designer may not allow downgrading of new P300s shipped with 4.2.7 or higher due to a platform update to support future functionality and USB improvements
• P300s with firmware 4.3 require Designer versions 4.3 and higher and will NOT be supported in Designer versions 4.2.1 and earlier.
• P300 firmware periodically add new properties. The P300 may become undiscoverable if downgrading to firmware without the new properties and may need a factory reset to become discoverable.
