4.1.41

New Features

  • Support for Dante Domain Manager
  • Support for Dante Device Lock

Improvements

  • Automixer Improvements: Automixer will only activate for in-room signal sources.
  • Autofocus Improvements: Autofocus will only adjust for in-room signal sources.
    • For best results with Autofocus, always route a reference source to the microphone's AEC Reference In channel. Even if you're only using direct outputs from the microphone and a different DSP, route a reference signal to the microphone's AEC Reference In channel to take full advantage of Autofocus.
  • IntelliMix® AEC Improvements: Improved double talk performance
  • For enhanced security, first-time user interface access will prompt the user to set up a passphrase. Users have the option of continuing without a passphrase, allowing for Shure Designer configuration software to securely configure the device within a location.
    • Passphrase length must be at least 8 characters up to a maximum of 64, all characters allowed
    • The passphrase may be disabled after the first login
    • Downgrade caution:
      • After the 4.1.41 upgrade, the device’s new passphrase (and/or its audio encryption passphrase) might exceed the allowed length of its prior firmware version. In that case, downgrading requires the following procedure to ensure passphrase compatibility:
        • Prior to downgrading, log in and disable the passphrase(s) or the change the passphrase(s) to the character length allowed by the prior firmware to be downgraded to.
        • Perform the firmware downgrade. Enable passphrase(s) as desired.
    • Using Designer software:
      • When multiple devices at different firmware levels are put into a location using Shure Designer software, the location passphrase for those devices must abide by the length and character set limitations of the older firmware. Advice: Update all devices in the location to the latest firmware in order to use a more robust passphrase.
  • Bug fixes

Known Issues

  • When exporting Presets using Safari on a Mac OS, the file type is saved incorrectly and must be renamed to .json to be imported
  • When attempting to load the device’s web page after using SUU to upgrade or downgrade between MXA 4.0 and earlier releases, the browser may appear to be stuck on the “Loading” screen with the progress bar continually moving. This will typically happen if two upgrades or downgrades are performed within a one-hour period. To correct this, hold your Shift key and click the Refresh button in your browser (or press Ctrl+Shift+R [Win]/Ctrl+F5 [Win]/Cmd+Shift+R [Mac]; note the keyboard shortcut doesn't work on Safari)
  • Shure Audio Encryption is not backwards compatible; all devices must be on version 4.1 firmware to use this feature

  • Fixed an issue where there was the potential for a loss of audio after a power cycle when using Static IP setting.

Known Issues

  • AES67 support is only available on UltimoX hardware
    • ANI4IN devices manufactured as of January 2018 are compatible with AES67
  • When exporting Presets using Safari on a Mac OS, the file type is saved incorrectly and must be renamed to .json to be imported
  • Shure Audio Encryption is not backwards compatible; all devices must be on version 4.1 firmware to use this feature

Notes

  • User Guide
  • Command Strings
  • ANI4IN version 4.1.39 is compatible with ANI4IN devices running version 4.1.39 and below, but updating all devices used together to the same firmware version is recommended.
  • To operate ANI4IN version 4.1.39 with Dante Controller, reference the following minimum versions: v3.10.2.4 (Windows) and v3.10.2.3 (Mac OS X)
  • To operate ANI4IN version 4.1.39 with other Shure networked systems, reference the following list of minimum versions supported:
    • ANI22 4.1.39
    • ANI4OUT 4.1.39
    • ANIUSB-MATRIX 4.1.39
    • MXA310 4.1.37
    • MXA910 4.1.41
    • Microflex Wireless 8.0.3
    • P300 4.1.11
    • ULXD4D/4Q 2.4.9
    • SCM820 1.3.3
    • Shure Update Utility 2.4.6
    • Shure Web Device Discovery 1.2.5

New Features

  • Support for Dante Domain Manager
  • Support for Dante Device Lock
  • Support for AES67

Improvements

  • For enhanced security, first-time user interface access will prompt the user to set up a passphrase. Users have the option of continuing without a passphrase, allowing for Shure Designer configuration software to securely configure the device within a location.
    • Passphrase length must be at least 8 characters up to a maximum of 64, all characters allowed
    • The passphrase may be disabled after the first login
    • Downgrade caution:
      • After the 4.1.37 upgrade, the device’s new passphrase (and/or its audio encryption passphrase) might exceed the allowed length of its prior firmware version.
