Initial Release

Known Issues

• AD4 receivers indicate “Ready” status for a transmitter firmware update while the transmitter is in Standby mode, but the update will immediately fail.
• In the Device and Channel Home menus, AD4 receivers will erroneously show a “?” battery status for Q5X transmitters. To see the accurate battery level, go to the “Transmitter Details” menu.
• In “Transmitter Details,” AD4 receivers incorrectly report Q5X transmitter audio as “Unknown” rather than On or Mute
• IR Sync may fail while loading custom groups to Q5X transmitters
• When operating Wireless Workbench or ShurePlus Channels, some labels and icons for Q5X transmitters may be missing

Notes

• This firmware is compatible with Q5X AquaMic™ and Q5X PlayerMic®
• To install Q5X firmware on devices:
  1. Download Q5X 1.2.52 firmware from Shure Update Utility (user guide)
  2. Connect to the AD4D or AD4Q receiver, and in the Hosted Tx section, select Q5XTx 1.2.52
  3. Send the update to the receiver
  4. Use IR Sync to update the transmitter firmware
• AD4D and AD4Q can only host one transmitter firmware image at a time; if you also need to update Axient Digital transmitters, please repeat the above process, but select an ADTx firmware version.

IMPROVEMENTS

• Made improvements to Environment mode to minimize feedback and noise
• Improved the filter applied during calls to improve voice quality
• AONIC 50 now plays the “connected” message when connecting to certain sound bars, TVs and Bluetooth adapters that did not previously prompt the message
• AONIC 50’s volume buttons can now control the audio level in Windows 10 HFP (hands-free) mode
• The “Bluetooth Pairing Mode” voice prompt now plays even if voice prompts are turned off

BUG FIXES

• Fixed an issue that could cause sound artifacts at higher frequencies when using LDAC at 88.2 or 96 kHz on some Android devices
• Fixed an issue where repeatedly plugging in and unplugging the USB cable could cause the unit to power off

BUG FIXES

• Resolved a connectivity issue with iPhone when the MV88+ is connected to the phone while locked but later unlocked

KNOWN ISSUES

• Users with some Android devices may experience 9 millisecond audio drop-outs when recording with the MV88+
• When connected to iPad Pro via a USB-C cable, the MV88+ will pass audio and gain can be adjusted. However, the MOTIV apps will only display ‘external mic’, and the settings screen will not be available. Shure recommends using another device to configure the settings before using with iPad Pro. No adjustments can be made in real time (except gain) on the Shure MOTIV apps when using an iPad Pro.
• In a small number of instances, the microphone will fail to be recognized by the MOTIV app, which will instead display “Built-In Mic” on the Mic Setup and Record screens and not record through the MV88+. Plugging the microphone into a PC or Mac, then plugging back into the mobile device will solve the issue.

Known Issues

• TCPI set 0 for input level switch also incorrectly changes the output level switch and vice versa

• When attempting to load the device’s web page after using SUU to upgrade or downgrade between MXA 3.1 and earlier releases, the browser may appear to be stuck on the “Loading” screen with the progress bar continually moving. This will typically happen if two upgrades or downgrades are performed within a one-hour period. To correct this, hold your Shift key and click the Refresh button in your browser (or press Ctrl+Shift+R [Win]/Ctrl+F5 [Win]/Cmd+Shift+R [Mac]; note the keyboard shortcut doesn't work on Safari).
