IntelliMix Room 4.0 Opens ‘Express Lane’ to Install, Set Up DSP Software

Chris Lyons | November 14, 2022 IntelliMix Room 4.0 Opens ‘Express Lane’ to Install, Set Up DSP Software

Launched in 2019, IntelliMix® Room software made waves as the first completely software-based audio DSP.  Fully optimized for Shure conferencing microphones, IntelliMix Room runs on a room PC and eliminates the need for external DSP hardware, making AV installs simpler and meeting spaces less cluttered.

With plenty of positive feedback from IntelliMix Room users, we looked for ways to make it even easier for people to acquire and set up IntelliMix Room.  Version 4.0 introduces an “express lane” to pristine meeting room audio.

Built-in Trial License

The big news is that downloading the IntelliMix Room software now includes a free 90-day trial license. This means that users of IntelliMix Room no longer need to place an order for a license key before they’re able to use the software. Now you or your installer can get the room up and running with just a few mouse clicks; you don’t even need internet access.  The trial license allows you to select either an 8-channel or 16-channel instance of IntelliMix Room.  You can also activate the trial license from within Designer system configuration software.

Simpler Room Set Up

Once you’ve activated your free trial license, you’re ready to expedite the configuration of your Microflex Advance components. With IntelliMix Room 4.0 this is more direct and streamlined than ever. In the Windows system tray, with one click you can open a Room Setup window that lets you optimize your Shure Microflex Advance devices.  You’ll see the inventory of connected MXA microphones, mute buttons, and loudspeakers, and you can select which ones are part of the room where IntelliMix Room software is installed.  The audio connections and control settings between devices will be established automatically.

Note that since this is an “express” setup process, you won’t have access to all of the parameters of every device; the comprehensive setup procedure is still available using Designer software.

Don’t take our word for it – watch the video and follow along as Shure’s Jake Julian shows how simple it really is.

Enhanced Integration with Industry Partners

The ongoing success of the Microflex Advance Ecosystem is due in part to how well it works with complementary components from other AV manufacturers.  With version 4.0, IntelliMix Room will also enable easier installation on partner platforms and add some new features.  For example, you’ll be able to download IntelliMix Room software directly from within some third-party products, and even choose advanced configurations like separate networks for audio and control.

The bottom line is that IntelliMix Room DSP software is the fastest way to unleash the power of the Microflex Advance Ecosystem in all types of meeting spaces.  To learn more about how IntelliMix Room and the Microflex Advance Ecosystem can deliver pristine audio for your organization, contact a system integrator or the award-winning Shure Applications Engineering team.
