New Feature

Improvements

  • Support for new frequency bands:
  • Support for discovery over the network of the following frequency bands:
  • Bug fixes

*AXT600 is capable of discovering ULX-D and QLX-D receivers in X52, X53, X54, V50, V51, Z16, Z19 and Z20 bands. AXT600 will continue to scan within the range of 470-865, 925-952 MHz. In the AXT600 band summary list, any band that is not fully supported due to non-tunable frequencies is tagged with *. In the AXT600 CFL list, non-tunable frequencies are indicated with "Monitor for WWB (unknown dBm)". When listening to CFL frequencies, switching to a non-tunable frequency will turn the Listen mode off. The AXT600 CFL Edit/Add menu will allow any frequency for any band, not limited to tunable frequencies.

July 15, 2013

NEW FEATURES

  • Added new TV format option
    • The TV format is titled ‘6 MHz Japan’ and can be selected among other TV formats (6 MHz, 7 MHz, 8 MHz).
    • The new TV format starts at channel 13 and ends at channel 52, each channel with a 6 MHz bandwidth.
  • 6 MHz Japan TV format can be specified from Wireless Workbench for a Spectrum Manager.
    • The new TV format can be downloaded to a networked Spectrum Manager for frequency coordination through the TV Channels dialog.

IMPROVEMENTS

  • Supports ULX-D frequency bands X51, H50
  • Supports PSM1000 band X7
  • Supports MW4D band X7

KNOWN ISSUES

  • CFL Analysis fails when the Spectrum Manager Exclusions list includes both a frequency range and a single frequency within that range. The Analysis result indicates an Exclusions conflict even though no CFL frequencies fall within the range of defined exclusions.

NOTES

  • For operation of Axient devices with other Shure networked systems, see the following list of minimum firmware versions that are supported with Axient version 1.12.8:
    • UR4 UHF-R receiver 1.166
    • UR3 Plug-on Transmitter 1.0.0.9
    • UR5 Portable Diversity Receiver 1.0.0.13
    • ULXD4 ULXD Receiver 1.2.14
    • P10T PSM1000 Transmitter 1.3.4
    • Wireless Workbench 6 Beta version 6.8.0
1.12.8
May 2, 2013

IMPROVEMENTS

  • Support new AXT400 models
    • AXT400 D
    • AXT400 J
    • AXT400 R16
  • Support for new AXT400 frequency bands
    • AXT400 C frequency band R16

KNOWN ISSUES

  • Exclusions set by TV channel do not support Japan TV format (6 MHz channels numbered 13-52, starting at 470 MHz). To exclude Japan TV channels from frequency calculations, it is recommended to set exclusions by frequency ranges. For example Japan TV 13 = 470 – 476 MHz.
  • When a frequency list (CFL) which includes entries for ULX-D in High Density mode is deployed from WWB6 to the AXT600 Spectrum Manager there are the following known limitations:
    • The Analyze features accessed from the AXT600 front panel interface cannot perform compatibility analysis
    • The AXT600 frequency calculation tools ‘CFL>New’ and ‘Wizard>Update Freqs’ will not calculate frequencies for ULX-D High Density channels that were offline entries in WWB Inventory at the time of deployment to the Spectrum Manager.
  • Note: The AXT600 does calculate, analyze and deploy frequencies to ULX-D High Density channels that are added via the front panel interface.
  • CFL Analysis fails when the Spectrum Manager Exclusions list includes both a frequency range and a single frequency within that range. The Analysis result indicates an Exclusions conflict even though no CFL frequencies fall within the range of defined exclusions.

NOTES

    • P10T PSM1000 Transmitter 1.3.4
    • Wireless Workbench 6 Beta version 6.6.1
1.11.14
March 21, 2013

NEW FEATURES

  • Custom User Groups can be saved to the Spectrum Manager using WWB6.
    • The User Groups can be used to constrain frequency calculations run by the Spectrum Manager such that solutions come from specified ranges and sets of frequencies.
    • Once they are programmed to the device, Custom User Groups can be selected in the front panel menu Util>More>User Group then set List value to ‘Custom’.
  • Calculation for ULX-D channels in High Density mode
    • The Spectrum Manager frequency calculations treat these devices as non-Intermod sources. Channels of this type will be considered to not generate transmitter-to-transmitter intermod products among themselves while avoiding intermods from other equipment.
    • Optimizes spectral efficiency of ULX-D High Density mode in mixed applications with other equipment types.
  • Hardware Identification in WWB6
    • Enables the user to trigger a flashing sequence from the physical device to locate the Wireless Workbench 6 representation of that device in the software.
    • To engage, quickly tap the power button on the transmitter.

IMPROVEMENTS

  • Calibration of front panel display, may optimize contrast on some units

KNOWN ISSUES

  • When a frequency list (CFL) which includes entries for ULX-D in High Density mode is deployed from WWB6 to the AXT600 Spectrum Manager there are the following known limitations:
    • The Analyze features accessed from the AXT600 front panel interface cannot perform compatibility analysis

    • P10T PSM1000 Transmitter 1.3.4
    • Wireless Workbench 6 Beta version 6.5.0
1.9.2
July 9, 2012

NEW FEATURES

  • Networked discovery and coordination of ULXD4D Dual and ULXD4Q Quad receivers.
    • Spectrum Manager discovers, coordinates and deploys frequencies for all ULX-D series receivers.
    • Spectrum Manager identifies ULX-D receivers in High Density mode and maintains frequencies valid for High Density channels.

KNOWN ISSUES

  • Very large compatible frequency lists deployed from WWB6 (>400 frequencies) may result in an unsuccessful deployment resulting in the loss of the CFL in the Spectrum Manager. When working with multiple bands of High Density channels it is recommend to unselect “Automatically Calculate Backups” in the WWB6 Coordination Preferences and add an appropriate number of requested backups via the “Add New Devices” dialog.

NOTES

1.8.8
April 2, 2012

NEW FEATURES

  • Support for the following Axient receiver variants: AXT400B, AXT400C

IMPROVEMENTS

  • Improved Front Panel Lock feature, allows some menu navigation to view settings while not allowing changes to parameters.

KNOWN ISSUES

  • The old P10T firmware for production (v1.1.0) is not interoperable with the minimum Beta version (v1.3.1) that supports the networked features of Spectrum Manager and Wireless Workbench 6. When using the Axient Spectrum Manager and/or Wireless Workbench 6 with PSM1000, all P10T transmitter units to be used in the same network configuration must be updated to version 1.3.4 (which is available to download from within Wireless Workbench 6). Use the Firmware Update Manager Tool in Wireless Workbench 6 to update P10T transmitters and enable network discovery and programming with Wireless Workbench 6 and Spectrum Manager.
