Professional UK body, the Institute of Acoustics (IOA), has installed Shure Microflex® Advance™ MXA910 microphone to complement an innovative Voice Lift system at the organisation’s Milton Keynes headquarters. This has helped to restore the natural speech level for far-end participants within a space used as both a meeting room and a classroom for attendees participating in courses involving working within acoustics.
With over 3,000 members professional UK body, the Institute of Acoustics (IOA) is renowned the world over for its research, initiatives and programmes in the field of acoustics.
A system was required that was hands free and could be permanently installed in a room with the ability to be divided as necessary and with multiple furniture layouts.
Audio clarity was a critical factor both in the room and online, with appreciation that IOA works with the world’s top acousticians in every field on a daily basis.
Three Microflex® Advance™ MXA910 were installed along with Voice Lift restoring natural speech level to far end participants within the IOA space, meaning students undertaking courses not only benefit from crystal clear audio within the education environment, but also those students collaborating online via distance learning are delivered exactly the same audio as classroom counterparts.
The system not only raises the quality of lecture captured content but improves the overall educational experience, providing high quality audio from lecturers to students and vice versa, with IOA members and acousticians already impressed by the efficiency and clarity of the audio.
“The system works extremely well and the sound quality is great,” said Allan Chesney, Chief Executive, IOA.
“I’d certainly recommend the system to other establishments and organisations looking for a similar Voice Lift system.”
