Known Issues

• Some users of iPhone 8 or iPhone X may experience silence or noisy artifacts on their recordings. iOS 11.3 includes a fix for this issue, so we strongly suggest that all users with either of these phones upgrade to the latest version of iOS.
• If the screen is locked while a MOTIV microphone is plugged in, the app may no longer be able to access it. To fix this issue, return to the home screen, force-close the app, then unplug and re-plug the microphone.
• Users of iPhone 8 who are running iOS 11.3 may experience crashes when playing back saved recordings from within the app.
• If you monitor your recordings with Bluetooth earphones, you may hear artifacts, such as noise, while monitoring. If this occurs, we recommend changing the sample rate of your recordings. Some products may produce artifacts at 44.1 kHz, while others may do so for 48 kHz recordings. Please keep in mind that even if you hear artifacts while monitoring, they will not be present in the recordings themselves.

Known Issues

• The app only plays files that are stored locally on the device. Some tracks that are stored in the cloud may appear grayed out in the app, but they cannot be played.
• Xiaomi Mi Note 2 devices may crash when viewing the Compilations screen.

Known Issues

• A small percentage of users may receive a numerical error message while recording, such as “-1” or “66570.” These messages occur when there was an error writing to the device and are related to Apple’s new file system (APFS). One of these errors can occur even if your device has plenty of remaining storage. We recommend clearing up your device storage in Settings > General > iPhone Storage, and if that doesn’t resolve the issue, doing a factory reset, consisting of backing up your device, restoring to factory settings, and restoring from the backup.

Important

• This firmware release can be used to update Microflex Complete (MXC), DCS 6000, or DCS 5900 systems using DIS CCU, CU 6105 or CU 6110 Central Units.
• Systems using CU 6000, CU 6005, CU 6010 and CU 6011 Central Units are not supported in this release.
• Firmware Upgrade Utility (FUU) v1660, which is included in the release, is required to update MXC devices. In the FUU, MXC devices will be designated with an "-A" suffix.

Bug Fixes

• DIS-CCU: Exclusive Functionality does not switch a shared microphone back on when removed.
• No audio from a shared microphone after an un-mute.

Known Issues

• When the system uses SW6000, voting result labels in TCP/IP control strings are shifted.
• During boot up, there may be a spike on analog out.
• MXC640
  • Reply/request list is responding slow with more than 50/50 in their respective lists.
  • Scrolling through an agenda with 100+ items is slow.
  • When an agenda with max. items and with max. words in item name and descriptions is received, the GUI may not be responsive for a period of time.
  • Manually entered voting results are not shown if voting has not yet started.
  • The agenda subject name for a manually entered result may be wrong if the participant has not closed the voting result screen after the last voting session.
  • “Rep on” and “Rep off”' buttons are missing in the UI with chairman left button configured to “Reply.”

Notes

• MXC and DCS 6000 firmware files are packaged together in the same release file.
• To operate MXC devices with release version 8.4.2 with other Shure networked systems, see the following list of minimum software and firmware versions:

Important

• This version is used to upgrade from all previous SW6000 versions, however it cannot be used to upgrade systems using CU 6005, CU 6010 or CU 6011 Central Units
• This version is compatible with SW6000 Software License file v1.7 only
• No new SW6000 license is needed if upgrading from SW6000 v6.0.xxx or later versions
• A new SW6000 license is needed if upgrading from SW6000 v5.8.xxx or previous versions

• ULX-D receivers must be on version 2.1.6 or higher and QLXD4 receivers on version 2.1.5 or higher in order to be used with SBC450/850 charging stations.

• To set up ULXD6/8 transmitters to receive firmware updates while docked in SBC250/450/850 Networked Charging Stations, follow these steps:
  1. Place transmitters on a charging station and ensure the charging station is connected to the network.
  2. Launch Shure Update Utility to find firmware updates.
  3. Download updates and select Send Updates.
