In ear monitors are proving a popular topic among our readers, with more and more musicians realising the benefits of ditching traditional stage wedges. Despite the clear advantages, making the leap to wireless remains a big step for many bands, with what can feel like a steep learning curve. Sometimes, however, a small nudge and a little advice is all someone needs to make the leap and start benefiting from better sound, personal mixes, hearing protection, and ultimately, better performances.

To demonstrate how simple going wireless can be, we caught up with our good friends Fingertrap (winners of the Shure Call For Legends unsigned band contest) to find out how making the switch has worked for them.

If you have any questions about in-ear monitors you'd like to ask, pop them in the comments below and we'd be happy to advise where possible.

Happy gigging, from all at Shure UK.
