The "Expanding Horizons" event, organised by global market leading audio manufacturer Shure as part of their Executive Audio Forum, provided the prefect platform to raise discussion on the continuing convergence between the AV and IT sectors, along with future developments and opportunities created through the development of new technology.

Guest speakers throughout the day included Mike Bedford, Technical Director at Hoare Lee; Abdelbaqi Chelqi, AV Event Manager; French Ministry of Finance; Sally-Anne Sader, Inter-Parlimentary Union (IPU) and Nick Walsh, CTO, Government Property Agency.

The Theme "A Day In The Life Of A Public Institution," also created debate on the opportunities presented within the government sector, where clear and concise communication to help aid democratic procedure is vital for protocol to take place.

Expanding Horizons closed with a lively panel discussion featuring all guest speakers along with Shure’s Senior Director of System Sales, Rob Smith, and Chad Wiggins, Senior Director, Networked Audio Systems, Shure, where conversations focussed on the challenges within the governmental and conventional enterprise verticals.
