SEOUL, OCTOBER 15, 2018 -  Shure Incorporated, widely recognized as the world’s leading manufacturer of microphones and audio electronics, today announced it has opened a new Sales and Marketing office in Seoul, South Korea.

Contributing to the Company’s growing footprint and focus on Asia, the new location supports Shure’s commitment to providing first-class support to its local customers and increases its accessibility and response time to market challenges and opportunities. While the new office will solidify Shure’s presence in the Korean market, customers will still be directed to purchase products through established distributors and channel partners.

“South Korea is a key market and plays an important role in the regional and global economy,” says Andy Wan, Regional Sales Director, Integrated Systems & Enterprise at Shure. “Especially in the corporate AV/IT sector, we have recognized a significant potential for organizations to improve productivity and grow their business through reliable audio and AV conferencing solutions. With our new team in Korea, Shure is now able to bring our market-leading solutions closer to the user and provide direct sales and technical support to our customers and channel partners.”

Business Manager Lee Sang Bum will lead Shure’s new representative office in Seoul, supported by Market Development Manager Lee Tommy who will oversee corporate end-customer engagements with a focus on Integrated Systems solutions. Looking ahead, the team will be working closely with Shure’s trusted channel partners to instate a long-term, dedicated growth plan for South Korea to support the Company’s vertical market goals.

As a first opportunity to meet the new Shure Korea team, the Company is inviting end users, system integrators, consultants, and AV/IT professionals to the launch of its new conferencing and discussion solution, Microflex® Complete. Taking place on 25th October 2018 in Seoul, the roadshow event titled “Meetings On The Move” gives attendees a chance to discuss their audio challenges with Shure’s specialists, while exploring the Company’s latest solutions to empower more productive conversations and decision-making.

“It is critically important to us to work with our customers in understanding their needs and to provide guidance to tackle their audio challenges,” says Lee Sang Bum, Business Manager at Shure Korea. “With our new presence in Korea, we are able to extend the market-leading, personal support that Shure is known for to our local customers, and we look forward to introducing our team and solutions at the upcoming ‘Meetings On The Move’ event.”
