Sound Isolating Technology
The E5c's in ear design works like an earplug to block background noise naturally. This enables you to listen comfortably at lower volumes -- even in loud environments. And unlike bulky headphones utilizing active noise cancellation technology, no artifacts are introduced into your listening experience. Sound isolating earphones are also much smaller and don't require batteries.

Speaker Type: Dual Live Performance Drivers with Inline Crossover
The E5c earphones embody Shure's highest-quality construction. Dual Live Performance Drivers coupled with an Inline Crossover create the same reference quality audio developed for professional musicians. The result of dedicated speakers for highs and lows is the faithful reproduction of precision highs, natural mids, and full-bodied bass.

Personal Fit Kit
Because every ear is different, E5c Earphones come with a pair of disposable Foam Sleeves, a pair of Triple Flange Sleeves, three pairs (small, medium, large) of Flex Sleeves, and three pairs (small, medium, large) of Soft Flex Sleeves to ensure a personalized fit.

Secure In Ear Design
The soft, flexible sleeves in the Fit Kit gently contour to the inside of your ear to create a comfortable, secure fit, so that the earphones don't fall out while you're exercising. The E5c is also compatible with custom-molded sleeves, made by a hearing specialist, for the ultimate in fit and comfort.

Memory-Fit Earphone Cables
Once formed, the E5c's cables retain their shape around the ear, allowing for a more convenient, comfortable, and secure fit. The E5c's cables pass behind the ear -- out of sight and out of the way -- for a refined, discreet appearance.

Lightweight Construction
Weighing only 1.1 oz (31g), the E5c is lightweight and secure enough for any portable listening application.

Earphones Carrying Case
The E5c comes with a stylish, compact carrying case. The case provides a convenient, tangle-free solution to store your earphones.

Level Attenuator
An included volume level control allows for comfortable listening from any high-output audio source, such as airplane armrests.

Two-Year Limited Warranty
Every E5c purchased comes with a two-year limited warranty on materials and workmanship. (See warranty information)

Custom Ear Molds
Although the E5c comes with an assortment of sleeves to ensure a comfortable fit, some E5c users may want something even more personalized. In this case, we recommend contacting a hearing professional, such as an audiologist, to make custom-fit ear molds for your E5c.

How to use
It's important to fit your E2c earphones properly into your ears. Read the earphones fitting tips for help on wearing your earphones.

"The soundstage of the E5c is much more dynamic than the ER-4. The ER-4 is much more relaxed... I feel like I'm in the 10th to the 15th row at a concert when listening to the ER-4. Where with the E5c, I feel like I'm sitting in the first row.. or perhaps even in the studio while the musicians are recording."

"The professional-quality headphones block all ambient noise and provide beautifully clear sound that conveys all the subtleties of your music. …Finally, you can listen to crystal-clear music whenever you want--even on a noisy jet aircraft."

"To put it simply, these headphones blew me away… I really didn't imagine that I would ever be able to drive this much sound out of these earphones. I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to find another pair of canalphones that can literally make the back of my neck rumble with its low-end bass, yet still deliver the clarity and accurate resolution over the midrange and top-end."
