Mark Schulman

"When I started playing in bands at 14 years old, we never even considered using anything by Shure '58s' and '57s' when we played live.  I still always think of Shure first when I play live or in the studio.  Shure is the standard by which the sound of pop music is set.  I sometimes still use an SM 58 for vocals in the studio when the vocalist wants to hold a mic and feel that live energy!”

World class drummer, Mark Schulman has spent the last year touring the planet with PINK.  In the last 19 years, Mark has worked with superstar artists such as Cher, Velvet Revolver, Billy Idol, Stevie Nicks, Foreigner, Simple Minds and Dave Koz. Schulman is a studio owner in Venice, California where he produces, writes music and records drum tracks.  Over the last two years, Mark has developed a motivational ROCK n ROLL seminar program called MAKE IT ALL HAPPEN, working with corporations including IBM, Cisco, TSS/Microsoft, N.A.T.A. and colleges including Southeast Missouri State University, Oklahoma State, Cal Poly and Boise State. Mark has composed and produced music for McDONALDS, MATTEL and feature medleys on the DISNEY CHANNEL and NICKELODEON, themes for SHOWTIME and the USA NETWORK, source music for THE SOPRANOS, songs for the soap opera, PASSIONS, promos for COUNTRY MUSIC TELEVISION and NASHVILLE NETWORK, SONY, IBM, and various movie trailers.  As the chairman of the board for CREATE NOW, a non profit that changes the lives of troubled children through creative arts mentoring, Schulman performs seminars for at risk youths in the Los Angeles area. As a cancer conqueror, Schulman has worked with children with cancer through the Ronald McDonald House.
