Why is the audio pitch shifted to lower frequency on P300?

FAQ #5479 Updated August 17, 2018

Question:

I am using the P300 processor. The incoming audio sounds very low in frequency, like a pitch shift has happened. What can I do?

Answer:

This is caused by a difference in Sampling Rate in Windows. These instructions will work in both the P300 and the ANIUSB-MATRIX.

  1. Open up the Sound Control Panel.
  2. In the Playback Tab, select the Shure Device (P300 or ANIUSB).
  3. Click on Properties, and then go to the Advanced Tab.
  4. Note the Sampling Rate.
  5. Go to the Recording Tab, select the Shure Device
  6. Click on Properties, and then go to the Advanced Tab.
  7. Change the sampling rate to match that in step 4 above.
