We have an SM7 at my workplace, and my supervisor thinks that you should talk 'across' the mic, i.e the foam end is pointed up and you talk across it. I think it's designed to be talked INTO the foam end, i.e the foam end is pointed at your mouth. Who's right?
You are correct. Talk into the end of the microphone, just like an SM58. The SM7 is NOT a side address microphone.
