How do you mount a Shure UA820 antenna to a mike stand? What do I need to buy? I have not purchased the systems yet, but it seems that the UA500 will do the trick. Can I get it without the antennas?
On a secondary thread, have you had many of the UA820 antennas that won't stay put when mounted (connector axis) horizontally on a rack panel? I have two used this way that won't stay put...
Answer from 2015
UA500 is discontinued. It can be duplicated by obtaining the UA505 mounting bracket and the appropriate UA8-xxx antenna depending on the operating frequency band.

If you do not have the antenna yet, purchase the UA500 which includes the 1/2 wave antenna, mounting hardware, and a "z" shaped bracket. You will require a microphone "clip" to secure the bracket to the mic stand. Also, instead of using a mike clip to secure it, you could use a 5/8-27 female threaded coupler.
Can I get the UA500 without the antennas?
* Contact Shure Parts to order the piece parts that make up the UA500. Call 800-516-2525.
What about UA820 antennas that won't stay put when mounted (connector axis) horizontally on a rack panel?
* The antennas come with small black neoprene washers. These washers are inserted into the antenna's BNC connector and this will prevent the antenna from drooping. Follow the instructions in the PDF file that is attached to this FAQ.
