hello to SHURE team, here's my Q?
I'd like to start my home recordings soon its more practible & cheaper. I have my PC (looking for a IMAC)too. Well as I understand I need the basics of home digital recording. as I work on Film music often (other studios) What kind of basic equipment easily adaptable I would have to purchase;
EG.IMAC or another extra PC with al least 20 GB
mikes of course.
my Ensoniq sampler.
(cant afford PRO-TOOLS is there any cheaper alternatieve?)
JBL or equiv. monitors.
Mixer (16 tracks min.) or is a budget PC software program sufficient?
What about a powerful AMP to support any strong /vocals/sessions etc.??
Well, I heard so many things from diff. people /advices that I am totally confused. Could you assist here?
Shure is a manufacturer of microphones and is definitely not expert on setting up a home studio. Try a studio equipment supplier like: http://www.sweetwater.com
