I own a QuietSpot boom headset, Can I use it for VOIP on Skype?
For Skype and VOIP. There is an adapter available that works with the QSHB3, QSHI3 (it does not work with the QSHB4).
The Quietspot Headset when you used with an adapter tends to be a great solution for VOIP. Please click the link below for info on the product and the adapter you'll need to split the microphone and the earpiece to two separate plugs so you can plug it directly into your computer.
Quietspot headset you'll need: QSHB3 (approx. $39)

The above solution works with most PC's that use a standard 1/8 inch or 3.5mm jack for the headphone and microphone input.
Mac's are a little different in which the line level input will not work with the mic output coming from the headset. If using a Mac you'll need to purchase the following USB interface. Plug the mic into the input and the headphone into the output. Make sure the switch is set to mic.
USB interface you'll need to us the above mentioned products with a Mac. Griffin iMic (approx. $39)
The Headset plugs into the adapter, the adapter plugs into the USB device. You now will be able to hear and speak at the same time on one headset.
