Is it possible to get some type of replacement cartridge for the discontinued PE588. It originally had an R8 cartridge in it? If so, what cartridge would I need to order?
Sorry. The R8 is also discontinued. You can send in your PE588 for repair and Shure Service will likely offer you an existing product as a replacement for a nominal fee.
