March 26, 2015 Shure Unveils Venue Lineup For Its 2015 National Open Mic Night

NILES, Ill., March 26, 2015—Today, Shure Incorporated revealed the official venue lineup for its fourth annual National Open Mic Night. In honor of the Company’s 90th Anniversary, Shure is sponsoring a week-long series of events that unites singers, musicians, and spoken word artists through their passion for live performance and offers them an opportunity to use professional-quality gear. This year, Shure is sponsoring 75 venues from across the U.S. Each venue will host National Open Mic Night events during the week of Sunday, April 19, through Saturday, April 25, 2015.

“With 75 participating venues, this year’s National Open Mic Night is our largest and most widespread celebration yet,” said Stephen Kohler, Senior Director of Marketing, Shure Americas. “From coast to coast, more than six dozen venues will be putting talented artists and top-notch sound center stage throughout the entire week.”

Shure will equip each venue with microphones that will be used exclusively during artist performances throughout the evening, including the legendary SM58® Vocal Microphone, SM57 Instrument Microphone, and the 55SH Series II Unidyne® Vocal Microphone, an unmistakable stage icon. The Company is also providing marketing support during each stage of the event by supplying each venue with customized promotional materials and public relations assistance.

After the National Open Mic Night festivities have concluded, each participating venue will be entered into a random drawing for the chance to win a BLX® Wireless System—one of Shure’s latest professional-grade, affordable wireless microphone systems.
