Competition now accepting entriesHeilbronn/Germany, February 15, 2008 - - Young talented jazz singers may now submit entries for the 6th Shure Montreux Jazz Voice Competition taking place during the upcoming Montreux Jazz Festival happening from July 4 19, 2008. This challenging competition, founded by Shure and the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2003, provides aspiring jazz vocalists the opportunity to compete in front of an international jury and audience. Prizes will be awarded to the competition finalists including an invitation for the competition winner to perform at the Montreux Jazz Festival 2009. The 2007 Jazz Voice Ccompetition winner Cyrille-Aimée Daudel recalled: “It was the first competition I ever participated in and there was a great vibe between all the contestants. I loved the fact that there were so many young talents from all over the world. That really speaks for the future of music and especially jazz.” The Montreux Jazz Festival accepts entries from candidates born after January 1, 1973 who pass in their applications until April 15, 2008.
