Company Unveils New Headset at Consumer Electronics Show
LAS VEGAS and NILES, IL, January 7, 2010 – Today, at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Shure Incorporated unveiled the SE115m Sound Isolating™ Headset. As CES attendees will attest, 2010 is shaping up to be another year of explosive growth in the smartphone market. In fact, according to analyst firm Frost & Sullivan, of the nearly 1.3 billion mobile phones expected to ship globally in 2010, more than 250 million of them will be smartphones.
“During the past year, we witnessed an unprecedented surge in the number of people carrying smartphones. What’s even more interesting is how consumers are using those devices – they expect to carry fully stocked digital music libraries and communicate seamlessly on a single handheld unit,” said Scott Sullivan, Shure’s Senior Director of Global Product Management. “At Shure, we’ve been working to create accessories that enable the “always on, always entertained” lifestyle of today’s consumers. The SE115m is an extension of our award-winning Sound Isolating Earphone line and the perfect complement to today’s hottest smartphones.”
Shure’s SE115m builds on the success of Shure’s popular SE115m+ Sound Isolating™ Headset with Remote + Mic, which was launched in 2009 specifically for Apple products. The new SE115m headset features a sound isolating design, precise audio reproduction, and integrated functionality with an inline microphone and one-button control. The one-button remote control of the SE115m is located on the right earpiece cable, enabling users to easily answer or end calls without having to remove their earphones.
Additional features include:
• Dynamic MicroDriver II: Second generation Dynamic driver delivers detailed sound quality and resonant bass.
• Convenient One-Button Control and Inline Microphone: The one-button remote control enables users to take advantage of the primary functionality of their smartphone devices.
• Isolation from Background Noise: Interchangeable earphone sleeves passively block outside noise by forming a tight seal with the ear.
• Two-Year Limited Warranty: Offers rugged durability and guarantees long-lasting performance.
