Even before she knew how versatile the saxophone was, Jessy couldn't put it down. While everyone else was out playing, J would practice - because she wanted to. “I practiced all the time, I loved it,” she said. It was that passion for music that determined her life's path. At 15, she heard the sax in the middle of a Latin piece and was completely sold on the sound. “When I heard the sax melody with the Brazilian harmonies and Latin rhythms, I knew that’s what I wanted to do with my life,” she explained to the San Antonio Press in  2011.

Jessy was born in Portland, Oregon and raised in Southern California. The award winning musician has been featured on Magazine Covers of Jazziz, Latina Style, and Saxophone Journal Magazines both in the US & Japan. Her most recent album "Hot Sauce" debuted at  #1 on the Billboard Jazz Charts. Jessy is not a stranger to hard work, she started as a competitive pianist (Bartok State Champion) and went on to pursue her Jazz Studies degree at USC where she graduated as "Most Outstanding" Jazz student. She has had 5 top 20 Billboard hits (including the #1 song of the Year, "Tequila Moon"). She has also worked with legends in the business like Joe Sample, Harvey Mason, Ray Parker Jr. as well as pop icons Aerosmith, Ceelo Green and Michael Bolton. Jessy has also enjoyed performing on Television Musical Programs like NBC's "The Voice" and "American Idol".

In addition to being an active song writer and performer Jessy also takes time to participate in events that give back to the community and was featured as a Rising Star Jazz Clinician at Disney's Jazz Celebration in Florida last year as well as serving on the Board of Directors for the "Young Musicians Project" in Los Angeles.
