Wireless Workbench

  • Tablet PC support
    • WWB 4.1 now supports Windows XP Tablet PC edition 2005
  • Export frequency's to custom Groups
    • User can now export UHF-R frequencies from Synthesis Mode to the Custom Groups utility
    • Additional Frequency List that include all band of PSM, SLX, PGX, UC and ULX in Frequency Compatibility Mode
  • On/Off switch for History Plots
    • WWB v4.1 now can enable / disable automatic RF history logging through the RF History Plot dialog box
  • WiNRADiO support

    • WWB v4.1 now has the ability to choose WiNRADiO as a scanning device (when connected to the associated PC) in Frequency Compatibility Synthesis and Analysis wizards

Key benefits of current Wireless Workbench software include:

  • Fast network setup of large groups of wireless systems
    • Scans current RF environment
    • Plots RF history, using an individual receiver to identify potential areas of weak signals and dropouts

  • Remote monitoring and control of multiple wireless systems

Wireless Workbench was developed in conjunction with the proprietary UA888 network interface to

provide networking to Shure UHF series wireless systems. Now UHF-R uses standard off-the-shelf

Ethernet hardware for total flexibility and cross-compatibility with other networks.

Wireless Workbench

With the introduction of UHF-R, Wireless Workbench has been updated to provide even faster setup and better, more complete control.

  • Automatic Frequency Selection Wizard: Scans and selects open frequencies, applying them to all Shure UHF-R receivers in network.
  • Comprehensive Infrared Sync: PC control of transmitter sync parameters with corresponding receiver. Syncs frequency, lockouts, power setting, custom groups.
  • Frequency Compatibility Calculator Wizard: By scanning the RF environment and then considering all networked hardware models, WW recommends frequencies for all specified wireless systems.
  • The Band Limiting feature allows user to monitor network frequency band parameters, to align with any country/regional RF usage guidelines that might conflict with the available bandwidth.
  • Custom Frequency Group Creation allows customization of frequency groups to be used in specific locations.

Other Wireless Workbench features include an alerts window that instantly highlights potential problems and the ability to control scanning duration for a highly realistic view of the RF environment.
