Shure Celebrates InfoComm International’s AV Week
Illinois Students Are Tuning In to the AV Industry
NILES, IL, October 11, 2007—The second annual AV Week, sponsored by InfoComm International, kicks off on October 21, 2007. AV Week spotlights the role of AV professionals who stage events, amplify music and speeches, and design and integrate sound systems and displays into public spaces from hearing rooms and boardrooms to campuses and control centers.
To help promote AV Week and raise awareness for the industry, Shure will conduct audio training for high school students at The Technology Center of Dupage. In addition, students at Elmhurst College will be given a presentation on the Pro Audio Industry with a focus on AV career opportunities.
"The AV Industry is rapidly growing and in need of qualified designers, installers, and operators in every vertical market, and at every step in the distribution channel," said Greg Riggs, Shure Commercial Product Planning Manager. "Celebrating AV Week is a great way for us to show our support for the industry, and encourage young people with an interest in audio to consider employment in this exciting and growing high-tech field."
