Atlas Sound Commits $25,000 To Shure's Industry Education Challenge
NILES, IL, November 15, 2006 — During the 9th Annual NSCA Fall Business Conference, Sandy Schroeder, Director, Strategic Planning and Integration for the U.S. Business Unit of Shure Incorporated announced that Shure will again commit $25,000 to a fundraising campaign for the NSCA Education Foundation. As an added bonus Atlas Sound announced they will also commit $25,000 toward this matching campaign, bringing the total campaign to $50,000 in matching funds.
“Once again, we will be supporting the NSCA Education Foundation with a matching contribution campaign in 2007, “ said Al Hershner, Vice President and General Manager, Shure U.S. “The exciting news is that Atlas Sound has agreed to join us in this year’s matching campaign so that both of our organizations will match up to fifty percent of all other contributions, to a maximum of $25,000 from each company. We hope that other manufacturers will join us in our effort to support the continued education and training of tomorrow’s audio professionals.”
"It is a great honor to be in the service of such a noble cause, as the true value of a Company resides in what they give and not in what they are capable of earning. I can think of no company I would rather share this honor with than Shure. For more than 75 years we have both been rocking the world. Here's to another 75 years of education” Loyd Ivey, Chairman/CEO, Atlas Sound.
“The Foundation is honored to have two great companies provide such generous financial backing to the initiatives and cause of the NSCA Education Foundation,” said Tony Price, President NSCA Education Foundation. “Both companies are long time supporters of the Foundation, and their encouragement reinforces the value of what we are doing for our industry.”
As part of this year's campaign Shure and Atlas will each match up to 50% of contributions made to the NSCA Education Foundation through July 31, 2007 with a maximum from each company of $25,000. For the 2006-2007 fiscal year the NSCA Education Foundation will be focusing on educational initiatives including MasterFormat 04ä Education, Convergence-based education, student outreach campaign and expanding education funding for industry professionals.
