Kelly Clarkson Rocks Annual GRAMMYs On The Hill Event
NILES, IL, October 17, 2006 – Two-time GRAMMY winner and Shure endorser Kelly Clarkson was honored along with Senator Dianne Feinstein and the Brooklyn Center Jr./Sr. High School (Minnesota) at the GRAMMYs on the Hill Dinner on Wednesday, September 6. This annual event recognizes legislators, educators and artists who act as advocates for issues affecting the music industry like music education and preservation, intellectual property and copyright protection, creativity and freedom of expression, among others.
“Senator Feinstein has been a longtime friend to our industry. Shure is equally fortunate to be represented by Illinois policymakers, like Senator Richard J. Durbin and Representative Bobby L. Rush, who clearly understand all that is at stake and aren’t afraid to stand-up for sensible and well-reasoned music industry public policy,” said Jeff Krull, Vice President for Product Development of Shure.
Shure provided wireless microphones (UHF-R/KSM9) and in-ear monitor systems (PSM700) for the evening’s performances, which were used by Clarkson and the other performers.
“Shure was honored to be a part of this event and to support one of our most high-profile artist endorsers,” Krull added.
The GRAMMYs on the Hill initiative was created to advance the rights of the music community through advocacy, education and dialogue.
