Shure Engages Felipe Vargas As Sales Representative For Latin America

Commercial Audio Specialist Joins Leading Manufacturer of Microphones and Audio Electronics

Shure Incorporated has announced the appointment of Felipe Vargas as Sales Representative for their International Americas Business Unit. In his new role, Vargas will be responsible for sales throughout Central America and the Caribbean, with special emphasis on the Commercial Audio segment in Mexico. To ensure a close relationship with Shure's channel partners in the region, he will be stationed in Costa Rica.

As a veteran of more than 12 years in professional audio, Vargas has extensive experience in commercial audio, with special emphasis on complex digital audio systems for large installation in all types of venues, from churches and concert halls to hotels and convention centers. Most recently, Vargas was employed by D&M Professional. Born and raised in Costa Rica, Felipe is fully bilingual (Spanish-English).

"While our market share is very strong in Latin America, there is still a lot of potential for growth, especially in commercial audio. With his strong background in pro audio sales to that market, we're confident that Felipe Vargas is the perfect candidate to help maximize our sales in the region," said Jane Wilke, General Manager of Shure's International Americas Business Unit.

Vargas' educational background includes 14 years of classical piano study at the Music School of the University of Costa Rica, and a degree in Business Administration from Universidad Latina de Costa Rica.

"I am very excited to be working with Shure," said Vargas. "It is a great honor to be selected, and I look forward to improving Shure's level of success throughout the region, especially in the commercial market segment."
