Entertainment and installed solutions on display; top artists performing on Saturday

Themed "Simply Communicate", Shure Europe and Shure Distribution Germany reveal their new booth concept for this year's Prolight + Sound. The newly designed booth presents integrated solutions for the needs of both musicians and commercial customers in a modern, comfortable atmosphere. On Saturday, the show's open to the public day, the booth hosts renowned rock acts and the UK's finest beatboxing artists.

Featuring a variety of newly launched products together with the established Shure portfolio, the booth's commercial area presents solutions for presentation and conferencing applications for virtually any corporate environment. Product highlights are the new SLX Wireless Systems, Shure's out-of-the-box solution for installed applications delivering exceptional audio quality, and ConferenceONE Discussion Systems which have already gained acceptance among leading European AV rental companies and installers since their introduction in late 2003.

The entertainment division features products for artists and sound engineers of all levels. Visitors can lay their hands on legendary Shure microphones, wireless and in-ear-monitoring systems. The SM86 vocal condenser microphone, introduced in 2002, now premieres as wireless capsule, and with the recently released E3 sound isolating earphones Shure offers a new level of comfort and high quality audio for use onstage and off.

In addition, Shure's new line of E Series personal audio earphones will be introduced in Europe. Targeted for use with MP3, CD or MiniDisc Players, DVD entertainment systems and game consoles, E Series earphones feature studio quality sound, noise isolation and outstanding wearing comfort.

On Saturday, the Shure booth will host performances by leading German rock band Die Happy, rock legend Uriah Heep and the UK beatboxing threesome Drool Skool - The Human Beatbox All-Stars. Die Happy, one of Germany's finest rock bands, will perform an unplugged set and sign autographs afterwards (3.30 pm to 5 pm). Uriah Heep's Mick Box and Bernie Shaw, leading devoted fans into their fourth decade, will also perform and sign autographs (2 pm to 3.30 pm). The beatboxing trio Drool Skool will perform with their voices and Beta 58® microphones being their only instruments (several performances throughout the day; beginning at 11 am). Beatboxing, often cited as the 5th element of hip hop, is fast becoming recognized as an art-form in its own right, a development Drool School undoubtedly reinforces.
