Oscar Winner Kevin Spacey Goes "Beyond The Sea" With Shure

Renowned Actor Turns Crooner to Promote His Latest Film

 

Academy Award® winning actor Kevin Spacey is hitting the road for a concert tour with Shure microphones and monitor systems to promote his upcoming biopic Beyond the Sea. The film, also starring Kate Bosworth, John Goodman, and Bob Hoskins, traces the tragic-heroic life of the late teen singing idol, Bobby Darin, who produced such hit songs as "Splish Splash," "Mack the Knife" and "Beyond the Sea."

 

Spacey and his backup singers will all be using Shure PSM® 700 monitor systems, and the backing vocalists will sing with Beta 87C microphones. In addition, the band will use six KSM32 microphones for horns and three KSM137 microphones for piano and hi hats.

 

"It's a fantastic system," said Spacey. "And, it's great to be able to be heard."

 

The film opens in New York and Los Angeles on December 17.
