Shure Names New Executive VP

Christine Schyvinck to Manage Multiple Departments

 

Shure Incorporated announced today that Christine Schyvinck has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Operations. In this role, she will have responsibility for the management of several Divisions, including Global Manufacturing, Corporate Quality, Materials, and Process and Tool Engineering.

 

"Under Chris's leadership, there have been significant improvements throughout her areas of responsibility, said Sandy LaMantia, President. "These include changes in our supply base and significant cost savings, as well as improvements in on-time delivery and overall product quality."

 

Chris joined Shure in 1989 as an Engineer in the Corporate Quality Division. After several promotions, she was transferred to the newly created Process Engineering Department. In 1997, she became the manager of this important function. In 1998, Chris was promoted to Vice President of Corporate Quality. In 2000, her responsibilities were expanded, and she advanced to the position of Vice President of Operations.

 

"Having been with Shure for nearly fifteen years, Chris knows how essential it is for us to maintain the highest levels of quality in all aspects of the manufacturing process," added LaMantia. "In this role, she will ensure that all of our products live up to the reputation we have established as the most rugged and reliable in the industry."

 

Chris earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin. While working full-time at Shure, she also earned a Master's degree in Engineering Management from Northwestern University.
