Seasoned Wireless and Consumer Accessory Sales Executive Joins Leading Manufacturer of Professional Audio Electronics

Shure Incorporated today announced the appointment of Kevin Kilpatrick to the role of National Sales Manager, North America. In this position, Kilpatrick will be principally responsible for growing sales of Shure's Personal Audio consumer products, including the E Series sound isolating earphones and QuietSpot™ cellular headsets in the US, Mexico, Caribbean and Canadian markets. In addition, Kilpatrick will be managing the North American Manufacturer Representative organizations, key channel accounts at Shure and the reseller distribution network.

"As Shure's market share and reputation in the professional audio accessories market continues to grow, we realized the need for a proven leader to guide our sales team," said Michael McGinn, Executive Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing at Shure. "With twenty years of experience in executive management and sales roles, combined with his proven effectiveness as a results-driven team leader, Kevin is ideally suited to help build out our channel and sales networks while continuing to create demand for Shure's brand among our target consumers."

Prior to joining Shure, Kilpatrick held senior management positions at a number of high profile companies including AT&T Wireless, Inc. and Motorola, Inc. Kilpatrick's eight-year tenure at Motorola culminated in his role as Global Strategic Marketing Manager, where he handled communications with Motorola's key global carriers and distributors, and managed the creation of a strategic product portfolio for the Companion Products & Accessories Division (CPAD). As Motorola's Global Product Marketing Manager for Automotive Accessories, Kilpatrick directed the product marketing team, which was the #1 revenue provider for CPAD during his term. In this role, Kilpatrick also successfully introduced the Retractable Self Install Hands-Free Car Kit, which commanded a price premium and became the new franchise design for next generation products, resulting in a CES Innovation Award. In addition, he gained experience in the Telematics Communications Group by launching the first digital handset for Jaguar America and managing the PCS Data Channel. Kilpatrick's last position before joining Shure was as Global Account Manager at AT&T Wireless, where he forged several notable partnerships and delivered consultative wireless strategy to Fortune 1000 companies within the Chicago area.

"Shure's rich heritage in professional audio electronics is a key differentiator that will stand out to consumers looking to pair their favorite portable music and communications device with industry-leading accessories - it's also what made this decision so easy for me," said Kevin Kilpatrick. "I'm excited to join the stellar management team at Shure, and most importantly, to help the company position itself as the undisputed leader in consumer audio accessories. In doing so, we hope to create a legacy of excellence in this crowded marketplace."
