Shure and Best Buy Partner on Key Summer Customer and Vendor Programs
NILES, IL, August 29, 2006 -- Shure Incorporated today announced two significant milestones in the company’s partnership with Best Buy Co., Inc. (NYSE:BBY), North America's leading specialty retailer of consumer electronics, personal computers, entertainment software and appliances. In addition to its long-standing relationship with Best Buy, Shure will play a key role in two major upcoming Best Buy initiatives -- Best Buy’s elite All Pro Summit, to be held at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort in Orlando, FL from September 10-14, 2006, and a 60-day endcap displaying additional Shure earphone models in Best Buy’s top 300 stores.
Featuring Best Buy’s twelve principal U.S. vendor partners, the football-themed All Pro Summit will include contests and vendor presentations focusing on convergence and the intersecting paths of the Cellular, MP3, and Mobile categories. As a silver sponsor of the event, Shure will showcase the company’s highly-acclaimed E Series line of sound isolating earphones, and on Monday, September 11, Shure will provide attendees with an opportunity to demo Shure’s E3c model, a consumer favorite and popular attachment upgrade for today’s portable listening devices (available at BestBuy.com and in all Best Buy retail stores nationwide).
From July 31 through September 30, Shure’s E2c, E3c, and E4c Sound Isolating Earphones will be featured in an exclusive interactive display in top Best Buy stores throughout the U.S. Produced by Best Buy and featuring only Shure products, this display will showcase Shure’s ground-breaking Virtual Sound Lab demo, which allows consumers to experience Shure’s superior sound isolation capabilities first-hand. In addition, the demo will educate consumers on the differences between sound isolation and noise cancellation technologies. This endcap marks a significant milestone for the company’s consumer division and further reflects Shure’s commitment to cultivating value-driven relationships with top consumer electronics retail partners.
