Shure Creates Personal Audio Business Unit, Portfolio Management Division

New Divisions Responsible for Consumer Sales, Marketing, and Product Development

Shure Incorporated announced today the creation of the Personal Audio Business Unit and the Personal Audio Portfolio Management group, two teams responsible for the sales, marketing and product management of consumer products such as the E Series earphones and QuietSpot® mobile phone headsets.

"Our earphones and the QuietSpot have been very well received by consumers in the past few months," said Mike McGinn, Executive Vice President, Shure Incorporated. "With this success, it made sense for us to dedicate sales and marketing resources towards this rapidly growing market for Shure."

Key personnel moves involved in the Personal Audio Business Unit and the Portfolio Management group are:

  • Shawn Stahmer, General Manager, will direct the efforts of the Personal Audio Business Unit.
  • Reporting to the General Manager is Brian Woodland, Director of Sales, Personal Audio. In this role, he will manage the sales activities for all consumer channels.
  • Scott Sullivan will be the new Category Director for Personal Audio Portfolio Management. Scott reports to the Director of Global Portfolio Management and his team will be responsible for the product management of earphones, mobile phone headsets, and all other products designed for the personal audio marketplace.

"This is an exciting time for us as a company as we enter the fast-paced consumer market," added McGinn. "We wish all of our colleagues great success in their new roles."
